Progression is the name given to League Football Education’s support programme for Apprentices in professional football looking at alternative or secondary careers following their Apprenticeship programme.

While the Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (ASE) programme is designed to give Apprentices the very best chance of building and maintaining a career as a professional footballer, research has shown that around 60% of Apprentices will not be offered a professional contract at the end of their Apprenticeship.

Through the exit and progression support programme LFE will equip Apprentices with the information and skills necessary for alternative and secondary careers.
